18 cases of neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis, diagnosed during the period of 1975 〜 1981, at
eight medical institutions located in Seoul, were studied and analyzed. The literature review
on neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis was included.

One hundred Korean and one hundred U.S. mothers from Seoul and the State of California,
